The world is ever-changing and parenting has become more challenging than ever before. Our children, through technology, have unregulated access to a world beyond their fingertips. A world where we cannot effectively control what they are exposed to, and where they are fed content and lifestyle ill-compatible with our family values.

As a result, we as parents and adults must come together and explore new ways to better parent the next generation – Generation Alpha.

Greenwood House School (GHS) will host its inaugural Parent’s Conference on 18th September, 2023. Greenwood House School is an independent and friendly school in Parkview Estate Ikoyi, Lagos offering creche, nursery, and primary education. A family-centric organisation, GHS is intending to further its passion for building healthier families in society by organising a conference for parents of primary and secondary school students. The conference will serve as a platform for parents to learn better ways of parenting, thereby raising value-driven children which will in turn translate into a better society.

Themed “Navigating the Complexities of Parenthood”, the 2023 Parent’s Conference will feature speakers including psychologists, pediatricians, key opinion leaders, family-centric influencers, and IT experts, among others. It will provide an opportunity to discuss enrichment and intervention strategies to support students, highlight issues affecting their learning and growth, and analyze the intricacies of parenting the most globally connected generation.
